Post Thanksgiving Meal Tips

There is a lot of preparation that goes into the Thanksgiving meal, but the hardest part can be what happens after the meal is done. When your belly is full and you’re surrounded by your closest family and friends, it’s difficult to find things to do. In this week’s Driscoll Place Blog, we’ve got a few suggestions on things you can do after your heavy Thanksgiving Meal.
Take a Nap
When your belly is full, you may feel slothful and tired, so do yourself a favor and take a short nap! Don’t let this nap go longer than 15-20 minutes or you’ll end up lethargic for the rest of the day or ruin your regular sleep pattern. Break out the blankets and comfortable pillow and you’ll be asleep in no time!
Play some Board Games
If you’ve got family and friends over, you can spend some quality time with them by playing some board games. If you’ve got a few favorites, take them out and invite your guests to join you! Choose games that are easy to pick up and get everyone involved, the last thing you want is for someone to feel left out or incapable of learning how to play.
Chat
One of the best things to do during the Thanksgiving holiday is to catch up with friends and family. Chat and reminisce about the good old days or talk about where you’re at currently. Friendships and relationships can be strengthened through heartfelt chats and conversation, so take the time and give your full attention to those you’re around. The best part? You don’t even need to leave the meal table, so no uncomfortable shifting of bodies!
